WHY you should advertise . . . #1

The key to any successful business, small or large, is advertising. Your potential clients need to be aware of your business and products. This is the KEY!

1. Advertise to Reach New Customers.

Markets change constantly. New families move to the area which means new customers for you to reach. People may earn more money, or face salary cut-backs, both of which mean changes in lifestyles and buying habits. A shopper who wouldn't consider your business a few years ago could be a prime customer now. Remember, this year alone, 5 million people will get married, 4 million babies will be born and 20% of families will move. 

If you find yourself saying "I'm well known in my community"  or  "My community is small, everyone knows about me"  Then guaranteed you are missing out on plenty of new customer opportunities.  Don't become the guy (or gal) who bitterly states "Why should I advertise locally? None of the locals shop at my business!"  Instead, perhaps ask yourself "why" they aren't..... the "locals" simply aren't exactly the same in every way as they were when you opened your business.
